According to MMRCL officials, the Metro 3 project is completed by 96%. What remains is station beautification work, last-minute improvements to stations and platforms, and other small works. With 19 trains ready to go, Mumbai Metro (MMRCL) is all set to launch phase 1 of the underground corridor.

Once completed, it will operate 260 flights and carry an estimated 17,000 passengers per day.
