Vande Bharart Train

Vande Bharat Express is the World’s first Semi High-Speed Passenger Train, Another Name for the Vande Bharat Train is Train 18. This is India’s first designed and manufactured Semi High-Speed Train. It was designed by RDSO and Manufactured by Integral Coach Factory (ICF), which is located in Chennai. It is made at a low-cost maintenance and operational optimization.

For manufacturing 16 coach Vande Bharat train cost is Nearly Rs.115 Crores and manufacturing 9 coach Vande Bharat train cost is Nearly Rs.77 Crores. Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal announced on January 27, 2019, that the name of Train number 18 will be changed to Vande Bharat Express.

First Vande Bharat Express Rail was flagged off By Prime Minister Sri. Narendra Modi On 15 Feb 2019.This train runs between Delhi to Varanasi via Kanpur and Prayagraj.

BHEL Vande Bharat Contract:

Vande Bharat Trains Manufacturing Contract to BHEL The Center has awarded the Vande Bharat Trains manufacturing contract to BHEL. BHEL-Titagarhadwagons will jointly undertake the manufacturing. As part of this, 80 sleeper-class Vandebharat trains will be manufactured and supplied to the railways. The Center will spend Rs.9,600 crores at the rate of Rs.120 crores for each train. BHEL announced that they also won this train management contract for up to 35 years.
