For the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural uses, the state has fixed rates for conversation revenue. The revenue department released a GO on Wednesday.
The conversation tax would be 2% of the basic
value of the land in the areas protected by the
GHMC and 3% of the basic value of the land in areas other than the GHMC for the conversion of
agricultural land for non-agricultural purposes.
This will come into force with immediate effect, Chief Secretary Somesh-Kumar said.
Another GO dated December 16, 2020, was released by the department,
which claimed that the Telangana Agricultural
Land (a conversation for non-agricultural purposes) (Amendment) Act will enter into effect on 16 December 2020.
