Project Details

Part of the Bharatmala Pariyojana (BMP), the Gorakhpur Siliguri Expressway is a greenfield project planned to enhance connectivity and boost economic development.

The four-lane access-controlled highway will start from Jagdishpur in Gorakhpur and pass through various districts in Uttar Pradesh, including Gorakhpur, Deoria, and Kushinagar. It will then traverse nine districts in Bihar—East Champaran, West Champaran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Darbhanga, Supaul, Kishanganj, Madhubani, and Forbesganj—before reaching Siliguri in West Bengal.

LN Malviya Infra Projects Private Limited was tasked with preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPR). The land acquisition process began in May 2022. The expressway will be built away from populated areas to avoid land acquisition challenges.
